The ILC's Land Acquisition Program assists Indigenous people to achieve ongoing economic, environmental, social and cultural benefits.
The ILC acquires and grants land to Indigenous corporations that can demonstrate the capacity and commitment required to sustainably manage the property and achieve continuing benefits such as training and employment.
The properties purchased by the ILC vary, ranging from small urban blocks to large outback cattle stations and properties of Indigenous cultural and environmental significance.
